Facebook just reminded me that tomorrow will officially be 6 years of A Taste of Paris in Harvest. Since I will be baking and prepping for Sunday’s Market tomorrow, I thought I’d share a bit early. I never imagined 6 years ago what my bakery would become when I baked my first few loaves of bread, a couple plates of macarons and sold them at the first market day in the parking lot of the farmhouse. This year to date I have baked over 2200 loaves of bread, 3100 croissants, nearly 500 packs of macarons, over 700 jars of jam made all out of my home kitchen and sold to all of my amazing community. There are no words to describe my gratitude to you my wonderful customers, friends, and family who continue to step up and support small local businesses like mine. It’s so amazing to know each and every one of you and to see your smiling faces every week. Lastly a huge debt of gratitude, and love for my poor harassed unpaid intern, Mr. Taste of Paris, who supports me unwaveringly every week when I say hey let’s sign up for every market til the end of the year, who cleans up after a tornado of flour coats my kitchen, who carries the heavy things, reaches the tall things, is charming for me when I’m to tired to smile, and for rubbing my hands and feet after a 20 hour bake day. Without his support, encouragement and patience none of this would be possible. So thank you for your patronage, friendship and smiles over the years. Here is to an amazing upcoming year full of sugar and carbs, love and laughter!
Merci du fond du cœur!
Jarri (& Mr. Taste of Paris)
