Good Morning Friends! This Sunday, Sept. 21st from 9-1, we will be back at Hilltop Truck Park for their Farmers Market. I again will have lots of breads, croissants, macarons, jams, jellies and other treats available for sale, I hope you will all come out and grab some things for the week. For those who have found me through the markets after this weekend things will be getting back to normal operations for me which may be new to you. So I thought I would take the time to explain how my bakery normally works when I am not doing markets.
I run my bakery from my home here in Harvest. On Fridays I will post a schedule for the following week showing what days I am baking and what items. I normally will have bread available Tuesday thru Friday. Fridays are my normal Croissant day. How it works is, you preorder by sending a message, text or calling me. If you are ordering bread you tell me what kind and what day and I will have it ready for you. If you are ordering croissants, orders are due by 8am Thursday morning at the latest. Friday I will have your order boxed and ready to go by 7am. At time of order I will send you my address and payment info and you pickup here at my home in Harvest when your order is ready. EASY PEASY. Occasionally I will bake other things while recipe testing or I just have time for those things, I usually will post on the Facebook page Or instagram stories what I have available. Again you just message or call and I will get it ready for you. On normal baking days there are no minimums to what you can order. On days I am not baking those items however, say Mondays, that will be considered a special order and that will have required minimums for example croissants ordered on non croissant day will be a minimum of a dozen.
When selling from home I still take all forms of payment just the pickup location is different.
I do accept standing bread orders so say you want a weekly sandwich loaf pick your day of the week and I will have it ready for you. Need to pause a week, just let me know and we can change it up. Not a problem.
On sale days, preorders have priority. I will make limited extras to cover my orders in case I drop a tray or things don't turn out. I will put those up for sale. Now I may not make every single variety offered or have a lot available so if you have your heart set on something specific preorder early to guarantee your favorite.
As a home bakery, I do not keep inventory on hand (except jams). Everything is made to order so some notice is required to prepare your items. Due to this I do HIGHLY recommend that you preorder as early as possible. I do ask for prepayment excepting cash or cards and that you are prompt in picking up your items. If not picked up by 5pm I will set out on my porch. If not retrieved by 8pm they will be considered abandoned and no refund offered. While I love my customers, I can not stay up all night waiting for pickups for an item that was ready at 7am.
I still have a couple markets here in Harvest for the remainder of the year. I have those events pinned in the featured section on Facebook and will give you all plenty of notice about where I will be.
Holidays are fast approaching, I will have Thanksgiving croissants and breads for sale. I will open preorders later in October. I will also have Christmas specials as well. We do take special orders and would love to help with any special events you have coming up.
I think that is about it. If y'all read this far you get a gold star! I am so happy y'all have found my bakery and so glad to have you all as my customers. See you Sunday at Hilltop!
