See you in 2026

Pull up a chair and grab a cup of coffee this is a long one.

Well folks, today we bring 2025 to a close. When the year began I wasn't sure what to expect. I had a stretch goal in mind (counting on the expansion of the cottage laws for income) never really thinking it would happen. But starting in March when I began doing the weekly markets at Hilltop Truck Park business just exploded. Thank you to them for providing a place where small micro bakeries like mine can showcase their goods and for providing amazing venue for our community. By mid summer my goal was becoming a reality and I can say that I hit my goal and in fact surpassed it by a significant amount. Not sure how I will top that next year but we are going to give it a go.

In closing out the year it is always fun for me to look at the top grossing items and see how much I have sold and what was the best and worst selling items.

So without further ado the number one selling item of 2025 will be Sourdough with a whopping 1765 loaves sold. Absolutely crazy to imagine that could be possible. In the croissant category out of 4400 items sold, Chocolate Croissants were the crowd favorite with 1063 sold followed by Danishes (852) and Plain (butter croissants) 810. Almond and Nutella weren't even in the running this year.(if those are your favs we need to boost those numbers haha) Out of everything, yeasted breads performed the worst with only 12 sold (I do make a mean normal loaf of bread but everyone wants sourdough now)

As you can see, I have been very, very busy this year and so I am going to take a little break and get some rest. Christmas season is my favorite and this year Mr. Taste of Paris and I are going to take some time to enjoy it. I know I said I would return on the 27th but y'all I am wrecked and beyond tired. I need some serious rest and relaxation and will be back in the first week of January refreshed (hopefully) and ready to take on the challenge of 2026.

With all that said I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for choosing me to be your baker. Thank you for choosing to shop small, artisan and local. For choosing to support within your community and not a big box grocer for your everyday breads. Thank you for your smiling faces and becoming friends as well as customers. Mr. Taste of Paris and I wish you all the love, laughter and joy that this Holiday Season Brings and we Wish you a Very Merry Christmas.

Jarri and Brooks (aka Mr. Taste of Paris)
